This summer school is organized in collaboration with CUPID, and open for CUPID-members and others to participate. The course is designed for researchers and research-oriented health professionals with specific interest in health and well-being for persons with intellectual disabilities and who want to learn more about their health needs, about intersectoral collaboration, and inclusive research.

This course offers a concise introduction in ID health needs and how research and practice can help reduce inequities. Different healthcare systems for people with ID globally will be discussed and ideas shared on how we can improve healthcare for people with ID.

Health related priority areas will be used, including cancer screening and prevention, to represent the key topic of each day and will provide state of the art in-depth knowledge from multidisciplinary and international experts.
